Meet Anthony Smith, Round 1 Grantee, also known as DJ That Guy Smitty. Anthony Smith has been a professional DJ in Charlotte, NC based in the Plaza Midwood community for 20+ years. DJ That Guy Smitty provides music curation for several restaurants, lounges and breweries, as well as performing at several private, corporate and nonprofit events yearly. A sole proprietorship, the DJ provides professional full-service Music entertainment for clients and their guests. DJ That Guy Smitty has been recognized and awarded several "Best Of Charlotte" awards with various publications throughout my career, most recently back to back "Best DJ" as well as "Best Club DJ" for 2020 & 2021 by the readers of QC Nerve.

A Beyond Open grant will be used to purchase live performance equipment.
